7th & 8th Grade Intermediate US History
We will be processing our Boston Trip and beginning chapter 10 which is the Jefferson Era Presidency. This will include the difficulties created by political parties and their ideas on how to interpret the Constitution.
9th Grade Global Studies I
We will review the Reformation and have a test on chapter 17 on Tuesday and Wednesday. We will start the expansion of the Muslim World in the 15th -17th centuries to end the week.
10th Grade Global Studies II
We are reading and discussing the independence movements around the world in the 20th century including Africa, Asia and Latin America. We will have a test early next week on chapter 34.
11th Grade US History and Government
We are reading and discussing the Cold War era after World War II and its effects on the development of the world and society in general from 1945- 1989.
12th Grade Economics
We are linking Chapter 5 ideas about business organization to Chapter 6 ideas about the development of big business, monopolies, competition and Government intervention.

Construction: Chapter 39: Thermal and Acoustical Insulation
From this week's instruction students should be able to:
Describe several types of wall construction that reduce noise transmission
The students are engaged in the construction of a shed for a community member. All the walls are up and braced. The students are currently building a gable-end roof truss. They hope to use this roof truss as a template/jig for manufacturing the intermediate trusses. As the trusses "roll off the assembly line" they will be placed on the shed.
Eighth Grade Introduction to Technology:
8th grade Intro to Technology - Teacher generated textbook: Design techniques; sketching, orthographic and isometric drafting.
The students are actively engaged in using the design process to create an individualized wooden clock housing. To date students have completed the orthographic drawings, as well as the CADD drawings of their wooden clock housings. All students are now engaged in the physical construction of their clock housings. One student has begun the finishing process of the clock housing. Safety lessons are given as equipment and/or tools are needed.
Principles of Engineering: Chapter 20: Large Scale Construction
From this week's instruction students should be able to:
CADD I & II (1st Semester - CADD I, 2nd Semester - CADD II)
Students utilize Chief Architect- 10 & 11TM software to design and draw virtual residential and commercial buildings.
Students will be starting to create computer-generated three-dimensional drawings of the first and second floors of our school. These drawings allow the participant to virtually tour the school.
