Math A, 2 units over 2 years or 1 ½ units over 3 semesters
This course is the first and second level unit of the regents math program. Students will take Math A over the course of two years or 1 ½ years depending on the recommendation of the math instructor and the approval of the Superintendent. They will take a Regents exam at the end of their second year or in January of their second year. Students finishing Math A in January will begin Math B in February of that year. This Regents exam is required to graduate.

Math B, 1 unit
Students who have taken Math A can take this math as the continuation of the Regents math program. There will be a Regents exam in June that will count towards an advanced designation Regents diploma. Students will then have 2 ½ units in Math and will need to take Pre-Calculus to finish their required 3 units of math.
Pre-Calculus (Math 12), 1/2 credit, 1/2-year course
This course is designed for the math student that wishes or needs extra math material past the topics offered in Course III regents math. This course will attempt to bridge the gap between regular high school mathematics and introductory college level calculus. Topics to be covered will include probability, sequences and the binomial theorem, quadratic equations, conic sections, logarithms, equations and statistics.
PREREQUISITE: Successful completion of Course III regents, Math B or the permission of the instructor.
Calculus, 1/2 credit, 1/2-year course
This course is designed as an introductory
course in college level calculus. Topics will include the study of
limits,
functions and derivatives along with their applications, differentials, antiderivatives,
the definite and indefinite integrals along with their applications, and the
study of matrices and determinants.
PREREQUISITE: Successful completion of pre-calculus (math 12) or the permission of the instructor.
Financial Math, ½ Credit or 1 Credit (depending on the needs of the student)
