The Klue
scholarship is available to any former graduate of Long Lake Central School who
is pursuing some form of post-secondary education or career training. Scholarships are awarded based on academic
performance. Senior applicants will be
awarded based on their high school grade point average (GPA). Post-graduate applicants will be awarded based
on their GPA from their most recent semester at college. Applications may be obtained from the
guidance office at Long Lake Central or online at www.longlakecsd.org and are due
annually by May 1st.

Awarded to students who wish to attend an
accredited college, trade or technical school on a full time basis, taking at
least 12 credit hours per semester. They
are looking for students who have achieved good academic standing and are of
high moral and industrious character.
Applicants must be residents of the following school districts: Ausable Valley,
Crown Point, Elizabethtown-Lewis, Indian Lake, Keene, Lake Placid, Long Lake,
Minerva, Moriah, Newcomb, Saranac, Saranac Lake,
Schroon Lake, St. Regis Falls, Ticonderoga, Tupper Lake, Westport and Willsboro
or must reside in the Northeast portion of the Adirondack Park. Applications are due to the Foundation
annually in April. Long Lake seniors
will be given applications by the guidance counselor.

Students must be residents of Clinton, Essex,
Franklin, Hamilton or Warren County in Northern New York. Their gross family income limit is
$60,000. No children of school
administrators may apply. Long Lake
Central is given a specific amount annually by the foundation. The Long Lake Scholarship Committee nominates
one senior to receive this award.
Awarded
to students who are attending college in NYS and are considered well-rounded
socially, athletically and academically, showing determination and hard
work. The student will receive a $1,000
a year award for four years and their name will go on a plaque in the school
provided by the Lottery Scholarship Program.
Long Lake Central School can submit two senior applications to their
committee and they choose the receipient.

highest cumulative average in math, with a minimum of 90.

Long Lake Central Awards for Excellence in
Technology, Business, Family Consumer Science, French, Art and Music
Awarded by the group for student
participation in their organization.
Awarded to a student planning to major in a program
in any way related to forestry, environmental studies or environmental
engineering.
American Legion Post 650 Citizenship Award

Awarded based on academic good standing and a
student submission letter describing school and community accomplishments.
Awarded to
graduating seniors going on to post-secondary education based on academic
standing and financial need.
The
Patrick T. Vartuli, Jr. Memorial Scholarship
Awarded to a
student pursuing post-seondary education and
exhibiting outstanding academic effort, hard work and extracurricular
involvement.
Donated for
a student who shows kindness to others and strength of character.
Stewart’s
Shops Good citizenship Award
Awarded to a
senior planning on working after graduation in the hospitality field.
Donated in
memory of Ted Aber to the student most interested in
history.
Donated by
Will’s family and given to a student planning to attend post-secondary
education who demonstrates fairness, kindness and who works for the common good
of the school and community.
Awarded to
the female senior with the highest average and plans to pursue a career in
education.

a student excelling in the music field.

Awarded to
students excelling in the creative arts.
Awarded to a
student with the attributes of tolerance, dedication and gratitude.
